The Kentucky Secretary of State had to issue a public notice today telling voters that the ‘polls are closed’ because they don’t have elections right now, and to stop asking how to vote in the New York City Mayoral race.

    1. Scared republican politicians have been on a furious rampage nationally talking about the mayoral race of one city. Its not surprising the dumber people are confused

    2. How much you want to bet it’s mostly MAGA who saw Trump’s endorsement of Cuomo and interpreted it as marching orders?

Too many people in Kentucky worried about whats going on in big cities that don’t affect their lives is part of what got us into this mess.

    4. I can’t blame them for being confused there are no elections, because I thought there would be at least some state or local election running. But the NYC thing is embarrassing that he had to say.

    5. From that state that keeps reelecting Moscow Mitch and Rand Paul. So, yeah, not the brightest candles.

To paraphrase the press secretary, there’s voting corruption in Kentucky. That’s a fact.

    7. Some people really need to go through and pass civic courses before they can vote. Just like what we do, we make the immigrants have to pass the test which is mostly civic course stuff, before they can be sworn in as an American.

The downside of local elections being blasted on a national scale because a minority candidate freaking out all the right people

Also it’s Election Day in PA too,  and that has had its share of news but not like this

So by a process of elimination, they *can* vote on California’s Proposition 50!

    10. Not opening the polls in KY is undeniable proof that the NYC, VA, and NJ elections are all rigged. They denying Kentucky the right to vote while allowing non-white people to vote solely because they are legal registered voters in these other places.

    11. Every time i think The welfare states can’t get any dumber… something like this comes up from the holler

    12. I once vacationed in Kentucky.

We were driving all over. The interstate we’d planned on driving had massive road construction and was actually completely closed; we got detoured onto a smaller highway, but the detour was very badly marked, and through a series of misadventures, we ended up driving on rural local roads for almost fifty miles until we got to the hotel very, very late at night.

Checking us in, the front desk person asked, “And how’s your day been?” It of course wasn’t her fault, but she asked, and I said, “Terrible – we lost the highway on the way here! I’ve got a few things to say to the folks who manage highway signage!”

I’d meant it as a half-joke, but she was absolutely stone-cold serious when she responded, “Well, that’s why we don’t go out driving after dark.”

I learned quite a lot about the low expectations Kentuckians have of their government on that trip…
